  • We're inspired by our client. Our goal is to understand our client and their goals—and use that to create décor that delights and surprises.

  • Girl Friday averages around 300 custom projects per year.

  • We’re growing quickly and we aren't able to keep up with the requests for work. This year, we're working to expand the team and further grow the company as we find the right people.

What you’ll do

Production Assistant

  • Most of our production happens during regular working hours Monday - Friday.

  • Every day varies with our workload. Some days we’re in the workshop painting, folding paper, packing for an upcoming job, gluing things, blowing balloons, cleaning up after job, etc. And, other days, we’re at a venue installing or striking what we’ve made. Every day is different and that’s how we like it!

  • We teach on the job—no need to be an expert, just so long as you're eager to learn and happy to do what needs to be done.

Strike Team

  • Half of our strikes take place between 10pm-1am on Fridays and Saturdays.

  • Each strike varies with the type of installation, but most strikes take 1-3 hours.

  • Regardless of how long a strike takes, you are always guaranteed two hours of pay for a job. (So, if a strike only takes a half hour, you’re still paid for 2 hours.)

  • Often, you’ll meet at the shop, pickup supplies and/or our box truck and head over to the venue to take down our work. When you come back to the shop, you’ll put it away.

  • Again, we teach on the job—no need to be an expert, so long as you’re eager to learn and happy to do what needs to be done.
